Miguel Girão

The Courtly Seam represents a point of confluence, a point in which the past meets the present and projects itself into the future. It’s the result of seasons of self-introspection, artistic and personal development, and an urge to delve into archives and old collections of tunes that Miguel used to immerse himself in the past, understand it, and then project that realization into the wonders and perplexities of modern existence.

The EP is made up of 4 tracks, three instrumentals, and one song, which explore the Scottish and Irish musical traditions in a modern context.

All tracks were performed and arranged by Miguel Girão, and recorded, mixed and mastered by Marco Silva at Atlântico Blue Studios in Lisbon, Portugal.
